Our counseling department's mission is to provide a comprehensive counseling program that supports the academic, personal, and faith development of all students.

At JPII, we believe that supporting the whole child—academically, personally, socially, and spiritually—is essential to student success. The mission of Pope John Paul II Preparatory School’s Counseling Department is to support the academic, personal/social, and faith development of all students. Our goal is to support each student on their journey towards academic independence, emotional resilience, and empathy for self and others while working towards post-secondary opportunities.

Middle School Counseling

The middle school years are a time of significant growth and discovery. At JPII, our counselor walks alongside students during these formative years.

High School Counseling

At JPII, counselors guide students in personal, academic, and college & career readiness development, equipping both students and parents for post secondary education success.

We are proud to maintain a counselor-to-student ratio of 1:150 in high school and 1:240 in middle school—well below the national average and the recommendations set by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). This allows our counselors to build strong relationships with students and provide meaningful, individualized support across the three core domains of school counseling.
