"I hope that you, especially, dear young athletes, will practice sport with loyalty and a healthy spirit of competition. In this way it will help you to face the demanding competition of life with courage and honesty, with joy and with calm confidence in the future."

Leaders On And Off The Field
My name is David Uyl, and I would like to welcome you to JPII! Athletics at the high school and middle school level play a vital role in the formation of our young people. They create memories and teach lessons that will benefit our students for the rest of their lives.
I am humbled and honored to be leading our athletic program. My family and I love being a part of this community, and we are excited about the future. Along with our coaches and staff, it is my goal to give our student-athletes the best athletic experience possible. Go, Knights!
David Uyl holds 10 years of experience as a professional baseball umpire. His impact on our athletes and student body is significant, as he was recently voted “Most Inspirational Coach.”
