Faith Life

Inspired by Faith

We embrace students of all faiths and focus on the development of the whole person through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel.

Liturgy & Worship

We recognize that students come to JPII with varied backgrounds and faith foundations. While about half of our student body is Catholic, our entire community seeks a deeper relationship with Christ through prayer, study, and worship.

JPII provides opportunities for all students to grow in faith. We begin and end each day with prayer, offer daily morning masses, celebrate weekly community mass,  and Eucharistic adoration each Friday. Students of all faith backgrounds can participate in the liturgy, and Catholic students can assist as acolytes, altar servers, and eucharistic ministers at Mass. Additionally, we offer a Confirmation program for our middle school students, Totus Tuus for high school students, and RCIA for students, faculty, and staff.

Student leadership opportunities are available for seniors who desire to serve as faith leaders of the school.

Growing Closer to God in Community

We are committed to growing the spiritual life of every member of our community. Our leadership team, faculty, and staff are encouraged to set spiritual goals and attend Mass and Eucharistic Adoration for their own spiritual formation. Our students worship at a weekly all-school Mass and have the opportunity to attend morning Mass and Eucharistic Adoration weekly.

Parents are invited to participate in a Bible study and prayer group each semester and attend Mass and Eucharist Adoration.

With a full-time chaplain on staff, our priest is available to meet spiritual needs, including the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Every area of our school points to Christ. Faith and Truth are integrated into academic curricula, athletics, counseling, and student life programming.

You're invited to join our faith community!

We welcome parents and families to join us for mass and Parent Bible Study. Please note that weeks with certain Holy Days of Obligation, the weekly mass schedule may vary. All visitors should check in at the main office before attending mass.

"It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness; he is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is he who provokes you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is he who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is he who reads in your hearts your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.”

- Pope Saint John Paul II

As a ministry of the Diocese of Nashville, JPII shares a faith community with the entire diocese. We regularly invite priests within the diocese to celebrate Mass, attend community events, and minister to students by offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
